Leadership

President

Kat has served as President of YPE Midland since 2024. A Midland native, Kat graduated with a B.A. degree from The University of Texas at Austin and received her Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Tech University. She works in Acquisitions for Hatch Resources.

Fundraising Committee

Andrew is President of Caprock Title. A Midland native, he received a dual Bachelor degree in Energy Management and Finance from The University of Oklahoma. Along with the YPE Midland leadership board, Andrew serves on the Board of Trustees of the Museum of the Southwest.

  Hayden works as an Acquisitions Landman for Waterloo Resources. A Midland native, he received both a B.A degree in Government and a M.S. degree in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin. Hayden has served on the YPE Midland leadership board since 2021.  

Treasurer

   Scott is a Production Engineer for Diamondback Energy. He received his B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Scott has served on the YPE Midland leadership board since 2022. 

Social Committee

    Blake is a Reservoir Engineer for EOG Resources. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering as well as a certificate from the Petroleum Ventures Program from Texas A&M University. Blake is a MBA - Energy candidate at the M.J. Neeley School of Business at TCU. Blake has served on the YPE Midland leadership board since 2022.

  Hayden is a Landman for Permian Resources. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management from The University of Oklahoma. Hayden joined the YPE Midland leadership board in 2024.

Phillip is a Business Development Landman for Viper Energy. He received his B.B.A in Energy Management & Management Information Systems from the University of Oklahoma. Phillip joined the YPE Midland leadership board in 2026.

 Education Committee

   Sloan is a Landman for Mewbourne Oil Company. She received her Bachelor's degree in Energy Commerce from Texas Tech University. Sloan joined the YPE leadership board in 2026.

  Ariana works as a Landman for Mewbourne Oil Company. Before moving to Midland, Ariana received her Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management from The University of Oklahoma. Ariana joined the YPE leadership board in 2024. 

Social Media Coordinator

  Alden is a Geologist II for EOG Resources, working primarily in the Delaware Basin. Alden received a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Texas A&M University and a Master’s in Geology degree from Colorado School of Mines. Alden has served on the YPE Midland leadership board since 2022.
